Ms. Marinna is a soprano with a great passion for music education. She currently teaches music reading courses and voice lessons at College of the Mainland and has also taught 6th grade choir. She has a Master of Music in Historical Performance in Voice from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. There she enjoyed singing music of the Baroque, Renaissance, and Medieval periods in chamber ensembles with period instruments. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Loyola University New Orleans, and also enjoyed a varied artistic training while growing up in Spring, Texas. Marinna recognizes that musical training broadens a person’s understanding of the world and the self, and she delights in taking part in that discovery with her students.
