What to expect from cello lessons at Allegro
Our cello students can expect personalized lessons with highly qualified teaching faculty that have studied and performed around the world.
Students are given a practice journal to bring to each lesson along with their lesson and theory books, as well as any provided materials such as sheet music to each lesson.
Music books will be recommended by the instructor at the first lesson and are available at the academy. Students will need a cello to bring to each lesson and to practice with at home.
Cello students can look forward to working on sight reading, music theory, ear training, and technique. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite melody or song.
Our faculty is warm and friendly, and will work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and favorite type of music.
Cello students have quarterly performance opportunities with the Allegro Winter Showcase, Summer Recital, and open-mic nights.
Whether you’re playing in a local orchestra, a five-year-old taking their first lesson, or a fifty-year-old returning to the cello after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
