Guitar & Bass Guitar Lessons
We teach all levels & styles of guitar and bass guitar
Age
Guitar students can be as young as 5 years old, or younger with the teacher's approval.
Our Guitar Instructors
Allegro guitar instructors teach all styles of guitar, from rock, pop, jazz, and blues to metal, country and classical guitar – on electric and acoustic guitars.
Here to help
Our teachers can help you set-up your instrument and provide recommendations for accessories.
What to expect from guitar lessons at Allegro
Our guitar and bass guitar students can expect personalized lessons with highly qualified teaching faculty that have studied and performed around the world.
Students are given a practice journal to bring to each lesson along with their lesson and theory books, as well as any provided materials such as sheet music to each lesson.
Music books will be recommended by the instructor at the first lesson and are available at the academy. We recommend starting with a quality acoustic guitar in the appropriate size for the student with light gauge strings. We offer an excellent selection of acoustic guitars and accessories for purchase at the academy and in our online store.
Guitar students can look forward to working on sight reading, music theory, ear training, and technique. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song.
Our faculty is warm and friendly, and will work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and favorite type of music. Our lesson rooms are equipped with tablets and amps for a cutting-edge guitar lesson experience.
Performance Opportunities
Guitar students have quarterly performance opportunities with the Allegro Winter Showcase, Summer Recital, and open-mic nights.
Whether you’re playing in a local orchestra, a five-year-old taking their first lesson, or a fifty-year-old returning to the guitar after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
