What to expect from group violin lessons at Allegro
Our violin group class allows students to start their musical journey with an introduction to how to hold the violin and bow, proper technique, sight reading, and theory in a small group setting. Students can expect personalized attention and the opportunity to grow their skills while making new friends along the way. Allegro group violin classes are taught by our highly qualified teaching faculty who balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson presents a new technical challenge or theory concept, and ends with something fun, such as a favorite song.
Students are given a practice journal to bring to each lesson, as well as materials such as sheet music to bring to each lesson. Music books may be recommended by the instructor and are available at the academy. We recommend renting a violin and being fitted for the proper size at Lisle Violin Shop. Our lesson rooms are equipped with music stands for group violin students to use. Once students reach a certain level of skill they will be recommended to continue their musical journey in private lessons and soon audition for Pearland Youth Orchestra!
