Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mr. Nico is an avid music lover and performer. Surrounded by music from an early age, he began playing saxophone and drums in elementary school and later expanded his skills to include piano while pursuing his bachelor’s degree. Over the past decade, Mr. Nico has recorded and performed with multiple groups around Albuquerque, with many of those recordings earning award nominations and wins.
Now living in Houston, Mr. Nico is exploring new outlets for musical expression. He believes that music is a crucial part of human connection and one that unites people in ways that are almost indescribable. Mr. Nico hopes to pass on his passion for music and guide students through their own musical journeys. He teaches a wide range of genres, from classical to pop, emphasizing that a good musician is well-rounded and knowledgeable across styles.
