Here to help
Our teachers can even help you decide on the most fitting piano or high-quality keyboard for your musical journey!
What to expect from piano lessons at Allegro
Allegro piano instructors teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music. Whether you want to learn a classical sonatina, rock chords, or popular sheet music, our teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be.
Students are given a practice journal to bring to each lesson along with their lesson and theory books, as well as any provided materials such as sheet music to each lesson. You do not need to purchase a piano prior to starting lessons. We are happy to recommend an instrument such as an electric keyboard, or a place to rent or purchase a piano that fits your needs.
Music books will be recommended by the instructor at the first lesson and are available at the academy.Â
Piano students can look forward to working on sight reading, music theory, ear training, and technique. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite melody or song.
Our faculty is warm and friendly, and will work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and favorite type of music.Â
Allegro also offers an accelerated track for piano students through our partnership with ABRSM (The Associated Body of the Royal Schools of Music) which gives music exams in over 90 countries each year. Allegro prepares students to be adjudicated by ABRSM through Performance, Practical, and Theory Exams. Allegro is the only music academy in the Pearland area to offer this prestigious program.Â

Performance Opportunities
Piano students have quarterly performance opportunities with the Allegro Winter Showcase, Summer Recital, and open-mic nights.Â
Whether you’re a five-year-old taking their first lesson or a fifty-year-old returning to the piano after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
